Some serendipity in choosing to set a large part of the story in Izu, which can retroactively be read as a shout-out to IzuSubs though it wasn't my original intention. A big thanks to Izusubs and other subtitlers and groups who have made Revice accessible to international fans.
Many Tokusatsu slash fanwork that are hidden behind a password on PictBLand can be unlocked with 10932 or 10932rps. Those digits are a pun on each syllable of 'tokusatsu' that sounds like a specific number -- to (10), ku (9), sa (3) and tsu (2).
Hiromi's former involvement in competitive archery is my personal headcanon.
Also, some irony in the mention of Shinnosuke/Kiriko from Drive, one of my actual Het OTPs. After discovering the Toku 100 Challenge, I had thought of using some of the prompts for a Shinnosuke/Kiriko Slash AU, but then eventually wrote for a different Rider show instead. Still, here we are in another instalment of a Revice Het AU, which goes to show the continuing relevance of story ideas that have been put on the back burner.
