Week In Review | January Week 1
Jan. 4th, 2019 10:28 pmThe first week in review of 2019!
Started the Snowflake Challenge
The Snowflake Challenge involves fifteen prompts revealed over fifteen days for squeeing about fandom. So far, I've completed Day 1 to 3 and have looked through other fans' journals to check out what they're squeeing about. I'm pleased to find more posts about Asian fandoms on Day 3.
I shall try to continue making posts on Timeranger even if my objective for completing the prompts is not to promote this obscure series. With this, I can look back on my posts and instantly recall my main obsession at the start of this year ^_^
Posted the spanking fic & fourth
100words drabble
"Repression Is for the Weak" is up! I wonder how many of my hits are from ardent spanking fans who stalk the tag and toku fans who may not have watched Timeranger/not care about the pairing or even the kink and have just clicked out of morbid curiosity. I'll never know!
There are now 10k+ words of Naoto/Tatsuya fics online with 6 complete one-shots (and 4 standalone drabbles) after there had been none for years, even back when there were fan writers for Timeranger on LJ. I don't write that many words or fic for any pairing that catches my fancy, so I'm grateful for being blessed with the inspiration and courage to put my work out there.
Edited de-aging fic & started new fic
I've finished the de-aging fic and as with the spanking fic, I've decided to save it as a draft for posting next month. It was fun to complete my exchange treat in advance and anticipate for it to be posted at a much later date, so now I'm experimenting with AO3 drafts to see if having a fic ready to be posted helps the flow of my writing. I also wonder if keeping a lower profile on AO3 will make me happier and make me feel less like my hard-earned consistency in posting fics is taken for granted.
After nights of lying in my bed and breaking down important scenes, I've gotten started on my next fic. I'll talk more about this if I do follow through on my writing plan. If I don't, well...the whole year stretches out before me with its possibilities.
